At Woodstock’s we applaud our customers’ effort
to be well-informed as they make healthy food choices. To
that end, we hired a nutritional expert at Scripps Memorial
Hospital to analyze our cheese and vegetarian pizzas. We
have also done some research as for as the overall “bread
content” (for those concerned with carbs) of a slice
and hope that will help you out as well.

A slice of Pizza has approximately 2 ounces of “bread”.
This consists of flour, water, sugar yeast, salt. Sugar is
approximately .017 of one once per slice. This is a best
guess guide for your perusal. Please consult a physician
regarding the appropriate carbohydrate levels you can intake.
For those who would prefer a “no carb” option,
we suggest any of our salads.
Woodstock’s whole-milk mozzarella cheese used on all
of our pizzas and our Brother Tom’s Salad) is rennet-free.
We do not have a low-fat cheese option at this time. We have
not yet found a low-fat cheese that has the taste, texture
and “meltability” that we strive for on our pizzas.
We can make any of our food without cheese or with light
cheese, and we offer several “lite line” combos.
Although we support and encourage the move toward organic
foods products, we regret that we cannot offer an entirely-organic
pizza at this time. It would require that we carry two variation
of every dough ingredient and topping, and the extra cost
would have to be passed on to our customers.
For those with nut allergies: Woodstock’s uses peanut
butter on our PB&C Pie. We also have almonds as a topping
on both our pizzas and salads. Although we make an effort
to limit which pizza cutter touches nuts, we cannot guarantee
that there won’t be some nut residue in our products.
Woodstock’s strives for quality and is always interested
in making a great product in as healthy a manner as possible.
Many of Woodstock’s products can be custom-tailored
to your particular dietary restrictions or desires. Please
don’t hesitate to ask when you place your order.
